Essential Qualifications:M. Sc. in Chemistry (02 post), B. Tech/ B.E. in Chemical Engineering (01 post), B. Tech/ B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (01 post)

Desirable experience: Candidate having M. Sc. in Chemistry with experience in the field of polymeric membrane synthesis and characterization is desirable. Candidate having M. Tech/ M. E. will be preferred. The selected candidate will have to work on the project entitled “Scale up of Indigenous membrane/modules and pilot plant for water softening and wastewater treatment”. The candidate will be working on polymeric membrane synthesis, characterization, process development and demonstration of the processes.

Emoluments: Emoluments as per CSIR guidelines. (i) Rs. 31000/- pm + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National eligibility test CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) a selection process through National Level Examinations conducted by central Government department and their agencies and institutions. (ii) 25000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

Project Assistant/Technical Assistant: 02 post

Essential Qualifications:B. Sc./ 3 Years Diploma in Engineering and Technology (02 post)

Duration: These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./ Institute of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
