Project Engineer

This is a Project Engineer role, reporting to the Engineering Manager in Business Area – India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible to design and execute DCS engineering activities in service projects with low to medium complexity, according to standard work instructions, quality standards and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement, simplification and consolidation.
• Collaborate with business and other IT teams to deliver solutions within timeline.
• Identify customer (internal or external) requirements, analyze and document as-is process and process interfaces, discover process gaps, design to-be integration in collaboration with business resources.
• Evaluate, selects and applies standard techniques and procedures to perform Engineering assignments.
• Assist customer and technical issues, interacts with official contracts.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.

Your background

• BE/B tech in Instrumentation or Electronics & communication.
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands on experience in process or safety system especially in the field of oil & gas or refineries or petrochemicals.
• Should have experience on retrofits, upgrades, service and commissioning.
• Knowledge on installation, integration of servers and client computers in virtual environment, windows Administration.
• Experience in Virtualization concepts, ESXi Setup, Raid configuration and VMware Configuration.
• Working knowledge on Managed switches, Routers and Firewalls.
• Knowledge in designing system and network hardening and detailed cyber security designs.
• Experience in configuring MacAfee epo, WSUS.
• Working knowledge on Domain configuration and Active directory configuration for larger systems includes defining group policies.
