Role Summary/Purpose

Graduate Engineer is an intensive program for people who have a passion for technology, a drive for technical excellence, and share in GE’s core beliefs. Graduate Engineers have the technical and business foundation to proactively and continually make innovative contributions to GE’s future.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Working together with the Site Management to ensure Quality Site Data Books (History Docket) completion, administration and distribution are properly organized and handled.
  • Monitoring to make certain that the inspection and testing during assembly and commissioning are conducted, checked, approved, and documented as prescribed in the QWP (Quality Working Plan) /ITTP (Inspection and Test Plan per Product) /FQWP (Field Quality Working Plan)
  • Directing and supporting the site staff and the sub-contractors on all Quality issues.
  • Controlling, following, and completing all Quality documents contained in the Site Quality Data Books (History Docket)
  • Identifying, reporting, registering, and closing all NCR’s on site, management of same through NCM database / Quality suite.
  • Performing internal site audits and supporting external audits at site.
  • Optional: At sites with high critical welding works (i.e. penstock, spiral case), ensure that welding is performed by site certified welders and lead and control the welding approval process during the whole Site Installation activity.
  • Notify & attend customer inspections where applicable.
  • May be required to create ITTP related to the site works.
  • Ensure that site management of the perishable (with limited shelf’s life) or the NC products is effective.
  • Working together with the Site Management to ensure that the material handling manager and all the involved Site Installation staff, check all incoming shipments for damage in transit and completeness in terms of missing items.
  • Working together with the Site Management to ensure that the Open Box Process and the incoming visual inspections, checks are properly performed.
  • Monitoring to ensure that all testing and measurement equipment used has been validly calibrated. Including the proper site records and storage conditions at site.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), good in mechanical fundamentals
  • Experience - 1-3 years
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Open to change, flexible & easy to adopt new challenges.

  • Willingness to travel and work at Project Sites
  • Ability to generate ideas to simplify process or design.

  • Ability to read / understand Engineering & Assembly drawings.
  • Knowledge of Inspection, Measurement. Qualification in NDT (Non-Destructive Technique)

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms
  • Strong team skills with demonstrated and proactive leadership skills
Preference will be given to persons with 3.2 / 4.0 overall or higher GPA
