Hours: TBD, some weekends required

Location: 23 North Main St, Enfield CT

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Bookkeeping and Quickbooks online experience
  • Office management experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Website experience preferred

Full Job Description:

Enfield Loaves and Fishes is hiring a Part-Time Assistant Director for our non-profit 501(c) (3) soup kitchen. Our organization provides free nutritious meals, aid, and companionship to all. The successful candidate will be passionate about non-profit work, compassionate toward those in need, highly organized and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answer phones
  • Maintain records- agendas, reports, etc.
  • Process, track and acknowledge donations
  • Bookkeeping utilizing QuickBooks, bank statement reconciliations, taxes, etc.
  • Maintain registrations with relevant organizations (State of CT, Foodshare, etc.)
  • Work with Executive Director on community awareness and fund-raising events
  • Maintain and update website
  • Maintain and update social media platforms
  • Manage use of company vehicle/donation pick-ups
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of volunteers
  • Cross-train to learn basics of Kitchen Manager position
  • Perform other duties as determined by the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors.

This position may become full-time in the future, depending upon the organization’s needs.
