Data Safeguardis currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to be a key contributor to our QA team. As a QA engineer, you will develop and execute manual and automated tests to ensure top product quality. You will work alongside our engineers, QA, and product resources to create and test new product features that will provide a world-class user experience for our customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans with a focus on automation.
• Participate in test automation and explore new tools to enhance test automation efforts.
• Assist in selecting testing tools and building out test automation frameworks.
• Test the current and new product features and functionality.
• Perform different types of tests as required including Functional, non-functional (e.g., performance, load, stress, etc.) project and regression.
• Ensure all issues are properly identified, recorded, documented, and tracked.
• Perform thorough regression testing when new functionality has been developed to ensure the current functionality is working.
• Work closely with the QA lead in defining and documenting a test plan including positive and negative path scenarios.
• Attend regular project meetings to provide testing feedback and updates.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience testing and enhancing software products.
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance, both, manual and automation testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter in a collaborative, self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to collaborate and work well in a distributed team environment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks when required.

Desired Requirements:

• Experience with functional automation testing tools (Example – Selenium/ Py-Test/ etc.)
• Fundamental understanding of programming languages. (Example – Python/ Java/ Java-script, etc.)
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field.
