Your Role and Responsibilities

The IBM Data Management product development division is seeking an extremely talented and self-motivated technical professional who can collaborate and drive the release management of our Database products and services. This role would be responsible for managing the complete product release and delivery life cycle of the concerned products by working with all concerned Development, Product Management and other squads from the planning to the deployment through the development and testing phases.

• Work with Product/Offering and Project/Development Managers to plan for the release of project deliverables and release life cycle
• Plan and coordinate across relevant teams for
• Tracking development and test progress against milestones and reporting issues
• Reviewing open-source usage in code and submitting usage approval as needed
• Translation and TVT (Translation Verification Test)
• GVT (Global Verification Test) for Unicode and Non-Unicode as needed
• ACT (Accessibility Compliance Test) and Accessibility Compliance report
• License agreement content and license tracking included in product installer
• Documentation
• Code scanning and threats modeling certification
• Improving our quality and development cycle with more automation tools
• Certification of Originality, copyright registration and archive
• Delivery of product through various channels including IBM Passport Advantage
• Service and support
• Work with other Release Managers for delivery of bundled products
  

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Bachelor’s in computer science or an equivalent degree
• Excellent communication skills in writing and verbal
• Team and time management skills
• Knowledge of agile methodologies such as PMI, SCRUM, Waterfall, Kanban, and ITL
• Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system
• Experience in software development / testing and overal SDLC life cycle activities
• Strong experience and skills to collaborate with multiple distributed global teams and make progress on compliance, process and other release activities as part of product releases
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

• Expertise in computer programming
• Project management experience
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines
• Experience in automation tools and Cloud development methodologies
