THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA

Summary

All of Us, spearheaded by the National Institute of Health, is a national program to accelerate health research and medical breakthroughs, enabling individual prevention, treatment and care for all of us. The overall aim nationally is to enroll 1 million or more volunteers and oversample communities that have been underrepresented in biomedical research to make the program the largest, most diverse resource of its kind. The Research Specialist helps to build one of the largest databases of its kind for health research by collecting and recording data about research participants.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • Collects, records and analyzes preliminary data for behavioral and clinical research programs
  • Recruits, schedules, and performs follow-up with research subjects as protocols dictate
  • Maintains current contact information for all study participants
  • Under supervision, may perform a variety of psychometric and/or medical procedures
  • Data collection activities may require that data be processed from multiple sites
  • May assist in compiling, editing, and proofing written reports for IRB approval, contract progress reports, and grant submissions
  • May perform data analysis using a variety of software packages and statistical methods
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Hourly Rate: $17.70

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience required.

  • Clinical research experience
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software applications
  • Database management experience
  • Patient scheduling experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
