ZS Associates, a global leader in sales and marketing effectiveness, is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team in Pune. This is a brand-new team responsible for improving the way software is delivered at ZS.

You will work closely with engineering managers, engineering leads, and architects of various teams to identify their current software delivery model while designing and implementing solutions to improve those processes.At ZS, you will be part of a team that defines and implements best practices that would increase the team’s delivery efficiency over time. The Software team at ZS is a casual, collaborative, and smart group with offices in Evanston, Illinois and Pune, India.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer you will: -

• Provision build and release scripts to automate deployment processes using build tools
• Design systems to manage code promotion through various stages of software development
• Help design and implement robust and maintainable solutions to automate processes to minimize manual efforts and ensure consistency across products
• Implement HA/DR, security, capacity, and compliance strategies for new and existing applications
• Do hands-on coding/scripting and a lot of reading, research and technology POCs
• Participate in discussions with other teams to understand their processes and pain points.
• Explain design decisions to peers and articulate the advantages and risks of proposed approaches to senior personnel

Qualifications

ZS welcomes candidates with degrees in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, mathematics or a related discipline. A demonstrated record of success and significant programming experience are required. Additionally, we seek individuals with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS or IT or EE or related discipline
• 2+ years experience with AWS cloud technologies and AWS certifications (Solution Architect / DevOps Engineer) preferred
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform (or CloudFormation)
• Experience building automation using scripting languages like Bash/Powershell/Python
• Experience with a continuous integration tool such as Jenkins or TeamCity or CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy
• Experience managing AWS services like EC2, RDS, Lambda etc
• 2+ years’ experience functioning as a senior member in a development team
• Experience working in agile teams with short release cycles
• Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging and support of large scale web based applications
• Experience contributing to web applications in a SaaS model
• Possess a strong sense of ownership and be ready to work with different teams to get the job done
• Possess strong verbal, written and team presentation communication skills
• Possess healthy doses of initiative and the ability to remain flexible and responsive in a very dynamic environment
• Ability to work in global cross-office teams, including travelling to remote offices as required
