Job summary:
The Red Hat Services Business Operations team is looking for a Senior Manager focused on business reporting and analysis for Asia Pacific (APAC) Services based in either Delhi, Mumbai, or Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will manage a lean team and lead services planning, reporting, and analytics. You’ll work closely with the services operations and regional services leads for APAC. You will provide analytical inputs through reports and metrics within the territory, supporting and carrying out operational aspects of the business and navigating through different areas within the company to facilitate the entire process. You will help plan, perform, and implement process improvement initiatives while organizing and facilitating cross-functional project teams and you’ll deliver presentations and training courses to share best practices, tools, and techniques. You will maintain close relationships across the organization. As a Senior Manager, you’ll need to have excellent analytical and communication skills, as you will take initiative and collaborate with our regional operations, finance, and IT teams to support projects that develop repeatable and scalable processes and system logic to support the business. While leading a small team, much of your role will entail working on your own on data handling, modelling, and analytics for cross-APAC initiatives related to planning and implementation. You will also manage a substantial part of APAC-wide analysis, modelling, and communication on your own.
Primary job responsibilities:
  • Build cadence, report, and communicate business performance through periodic forecast review calls
  • Define the strategy and manage the governance of our business-critical data and reports
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand new information requirements
  • Manage the consulting, training, and services analysts who work on deliverables around reporting and analysis
  • Develop and maintain new reporting system capabilities
  • Manage extraction, data cleansing, analysis, and an ongoing validation of large volumes of historical customer data
  • Support the quarterly business review (QBR) deck preparation and coordination
  • Work with local and global teams to develop reports for QBRs that will enable business leaders and sales managers to make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with others to provide operational analysis and make performance recommendations to the business
  • Develop and maintain metrics to support process tracking and decision making
  • Identify and track consulting and training services key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Uncover improvement gaps and performance shortfalls
Required skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, economics, engineering, computer science, or statistics
  • 10+ years of experience working in business finance, sales operations, or business operations with 3+ of those years focusing on sales forecasting
  • Excellent data and system background with extensive experience using sales customer relationship management (CRM) and reporting methodologies
  • Good spreadsheet skills with proven experience managing large datasets, conducting time series analyses, and building financial models with a sensitivity analysis
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
  • Understanding of complex system logic and processes; ability to use this knowledge to analyze strategic decisions
  • Experience using Salesforce.com (SFDC) or similar CRM tools
  • Demonstrated internal customer service and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced, matrixed multinational corporation (MNC) environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own
  • Good communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and a focus on delivering results
  • Willingness to work extended hours during periods of high demand like quarter-close or year-end; this may include weekends and holidays
  • APAC experience and understanding of APAC cultures is a big plus
