Space Matrix is looking for a Senior Workplace Strategist.

Job Overview

As a member of the Strategy and Insights teams, you will work with a larger multidisciplinary team to discover, assess and address our clients’ workplaces and their functionality. This includes the benchmark review of our clients’ workplaces and peer group industry competitors; assessment of the current and future of the client’s real estate and facilities. We conduct evidence based research towards their future of work; and subsequently make recommendations on concepts, designs and delivery of workplace projects. Our objective is always to improve workplace performance by leveraging design results that align with our client’s business goals.

Our strategy focus and efforts occur in tandem with our design process so that our strategists and designers leverage each other’s strengths and talents to develop workplace strategy and design solutions that are relevant and progressively functional for our clients;, with an ever-watchful focus on the craftsmanship needed to deliver the end product

Primary Responsibilities

Your job will include, but not limited to the following:

● Develop proposals detailing bespoke workplace strategy and change management services

● Lead and execute workplace strategy and change management projects

● Confidently engage with multiple levels of the client organization through workshops and interviews and conduct data research through surveys and audits etc.

● Develop and evolve the use of best practices to enhance the strategic process methodology

● Experience of working with clients who have adopted new ways of working as part of their cultural and workplace transformation is a prerequisite

● Analyze work behaviors to guide behavioral changes accompanying new ways of working

● Develop clear presentations based on data points collected and clear infographics to help clients make informed decisions

● Guide and work with integrated team of designers, project managers and technical teams to innovate planning and design results

● Coordinate and work with our extended strategy and change team and strategic designers

● Contribute to sharing strategy and change thought leadership

● Mentor and collaborate with other strategists in the office and globally

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Psychology or related field

● 10+ years’ relevant experience

● 4+ years’ in workplace strategy and change management

Key Competencies

● Knowledgeable in: Organizational Analysis; Human Behaviors Analysis; Data Analysis; Strategic Planning & Alignment; Change Management and Communication

● Ability to develop and execute quantitative and qualitative of programming through various data gathering methods such as surveys, audits, workshops, interviews and observations

● Able to move from small details to big picture perspective to develop align organizational drivers to workplace as an enabler of business performance

● Able to evaluate space planning and design in relation to strategic objectives of the client

● Able to communicate design ideas effectively emphasizing the “why to the what”

● Strong organizational, collaboration and communication skills are required as we work with multidisciplinary teams internally and with our clients

● Excellent oral and written communication, strong interpersonal and influencing skills, customer service driven, detail oriented and with excellent analytical skills

● Able to work entrepreneurially and set priorities with minimal supervision
