Minjar Gold is a privately owned Australian gold explorer, developer and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in both Western Australia and Queensland. The company currently has a plan to develop into a mid-tier gold producer with an active growth strategy in place towards achieving that goal. With its flagship project located at Marvel Loch in Western Australia, the company holds a tenement package in excess of 1,400km2 with significant exploration potential and a gold processing facility.

To support our growth, we are currently seeking to appoint a highly qualified and experienced Senior Recruitment Adviser to join us on a fulltime basis at our Perth corporate office.

About the role:
Reporting directly the Group Manager, Human Resources, this role is responsible for coordinating the end to end recruitment process across our corporate office and our remote mine sites in Western Australia and Queensland. The primary focus of the position is around recruitment, capacity and depth of resource pools, talent management and workforce planning.

Responsibilities.
To be considered for this role you will possess;

  • Internal recruitment role with recruitment of senior/executive white collar and blue-collar roles
  • Manage end to end recruitment for a range of senior roles.
  • Assist hiring managers with training on the recruitment database.
  • Develop and maintain talent pools and ensure all vacancies are filled within the target time.
  • Screening, shortlisting and interviewing candidates.
  • Advertising and sourcing of candidates.
  • Coordinate and manage the on-boarding process.
  • Work alongside different hiring managers in the business to source talent.
  • Identify different initiatives and recruitment channels for the business.
  • Coordinate the Job Adder recruitment database system.
  • Mobilisation of work force.
  • Organise medicals, online inductions, and site access approvals.
  • Maintain understanding of employment law principles and application of those principles to recruitment processes and contractual/industrial arrangements including but not limited to EEO, Dept Immigration, ATO, Fair Work Act etc.
  • Preparation of recruitment related documentation including recruitment & selection documentation, position descriptions and corporate templates.
  • Oversee all immigration and visa requirements across the business

The ideal candidate will also possess:

  • Minimum 6 + years previous recruitment experience within mining or construction bulk recruitment or HR related role.
  • Must have experience with Job Adder HRIS.
    • Excellent sourcing skills through multiple advertisement and social media platforms.
    • Ability to prioritise problems and solve in a highly practical manner
    • Flexible team player with tenacity, initiative, solid attention to detail and decision-making abilities to enable effective process establishment and improvement.
    • Multi-tasking – need to be organized, highly efficient and able push multiple projects forward at the same time
    • Highly developed verbal and written communication, negotiation, and analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management, the workforce, the community, and key stakeholders including the ability to build effective relationships.
    • Demonstrated ability and experience in delivering exceptional customer service to all stakeholders
