Job Description
  • Plays a key role in projects, as a leader, project manager, or critical designer.
  • Leads projects that are medium to large in size: responsible for financial management of the project, ensuring key deadlines are met and that the project stays on schedule and staff are working together effectively.
  • Develops design plans in response to technical problems posed by a project’s scope. Develops innovative solutions to problems that effectively address the social, legal, and economic implications of the physical form.
  • Provide project or task management to develop design and planning concepts and translate them into drawings in such a manner with suits project requirement.
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard design techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications on projects.
  • Plays a key role in client management and client satisfaction.
  • Responsible for verifying & validating structural design on behalf of clients. Ensure timely delivery of quality/ economical designs by using technical ability / analysis, creativity & artistic talent, good organizational, through the application of oral, analytical and written communication skills.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory/ compliance authorities, Green building requirements, EIA requirements for structural design and development.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment with a solid understanding of other design disciplines such as architecture, landscape architecture and engineering.
  • Promote AECOM’s initiatives in sustainable development through community planning, green buildings and the public realm.
  • Onsite design modifications and implementation of additional clients’ requests
  • Participating in the preparation of periodical progress report, correspondence with client, project managers and contractors.
  • Executes standardized procedures for monitoring the progression of planning, design and construction phases.
  • Monitors project and staff to ensure that projects are progressing according to established procedures and cost, time and quality objectives.
  • Interfaces with Project Designers and Contractor to co-ordinate the design intent with construction delivery.
  • Ensures periodic inspection of construction activities and compiles noncompliance reports as appropriate and recommending the appropriate follow up action.

Qualifications

B.Tech (Civil) with minimum 15 years relevant work experience in Hospital and Buildings projects
