SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

? Design & Execute Automation Test Scripts for Functional and Regression Testing based on Requirements for Service Now platform

? Maintain Automation scripts in ALM/Test Management tool and execute the scripts in parallel

? Experience in designing and executing Selenium with Java; UFT scripts; Keyword driven; data driven and functional decomposition frameworks

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Software Test Automation Engineer will work with the project teams to understand the Service Now requirements and participate in designing and execution of Manual test cases; Selenium/UFT scripts for huge set of data using test management tools. This resource will co-ordinate with functional business analysts and technical developers and vendors to generate test execution and defect reports.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Author automation test plans and test scripts; workload analysis and may serve as a coordinator.
  • Good understanding of STLC lifecycle and Test design techniques.
  • Experience in creating Regression; functional Test cases from requirements.
  • Good understanding of Automation Test Design and experience in preparing Test Plan and effort estimation.
  • Designing test scripts using Selenium with JAVA.
  • Automation Test Analysis and reporting using HP ALM.
  • Configuration of HP ALM; Selenium with JAVA and other open source tools.
  • Execution of Selenium Scripts; Smoke test and Blackbox Tests including Manual test cases
  • Experience in working with Service Now platform
  • Maintain regression tests based on ongoing application; tool and environment changes.
  • Work directly with developers and analysts in a scrum-like fashion.
  • Ensure Standards and Guidelines are followed with QA Reviews
  • Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented; and all problems are resolved
  • Identifies; recommends and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of software quality assurance strategies
  • Responsible for day-to-day automation activities and reporting the status.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
? Bachelor’s Degree or Bachelor of Science Computer
? Excellent communication skills are expected. Analytical skills; strong perseverance; a high degree of initiative and independence with the ability to work with people from various backgrounds/cultures couple with strong customer and partner interface



Knowledge and Skills:
? Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience with Selenium with JAVA and Test Management tools
? Experience in working with Service Now platform
? Experience on Design; execution and maintenance of Selenium/Java scripts
? Expertise in Test/Defect Management Tool (HP ALM) and JIRA.
? Must have strong organizational skills; written and oral communication; and problem-solving skills.
? Ability to work in a team focused environment across multiple projects.
? Must be willing to work overtime and non-standard shifts when needed.
? This position will be located at E-City; Bangalore; India facility (13.30 to 22.30 IST).
? Down the line if requires; will have Right to internalize these resources
