Inviting applications for the role of AVP, Employee Relations
Given the changing nature of IR, employer reputation is a new and emerging vulnerability in a social media world, requiring a rethink of how multinational companies are positioned to take care of new challenges.
The Employee Relations AVP will be to maintain positive and proactive employee relations and help transform the organization amidst the volatile external environment.
Responsibilities
    Handle and conduct sensitive employee investigations involving senior executives, working closely with Legal, and help to synthesize legal advice and business considerations to arrive at recommended outcomes
    Advise on ER matters across India, including grievances, investigations, disciplinary action, performance monitoring and negotiated departures and handle other highly sensitive ER matters directly or in conjunction with members of the vertical HR Team
    Ensure consistency in approach and resolution of sensitive employee investigations across geographies and deployed to entities as appropriate.
    Take an active role with the evaluation, development, implementation and communication of policies, procedures, and programs relating to Genpact’s global employment practices and adherence to Genpact values. Also, would be responsible to analyze case trends and Partner with business verticals, Business Partners, and Service Delivery as appropriate to ensure HR policies, processes and programs reinforce Genpact’s Core Values, Code of Business Ethics, and employment practices.
    Work closely with leaders inside and outside of HR to define Genpact’s position on a variety of HR compliance topics (i.e. data privacy, information management, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements and penalties).
    Provide leadership to key employee relations & IR initiatives and collaborate with geographic leadership and Employee Relations teams to ensure consistent implementation within local legal constraints.
    Oversight for global management and coordination of the Policies and Procedures and Compliance and Internal Controls processes along with internal Controls (SOX and Genpact based controls), liaising with HR teams as appropriate on audit participation, status and action plan management.
    Accountable for ensuring that policies and controls that put Genpact at risk are implemented throughout the GU in a timely and accurate fashion
Knowledge and Skills
Required:
    Successful track record of working with executives and company leadership
    Specialist in Indian Labour Laws & their applicability in a services environment. IR degree would be a plus
    Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams, inspire confidence in others, grasp and explain complex or nuanced subject matter, and think creatively to resolve multi-faceted situations.
    Ability to respond appropriately to sensitive inquiries or complaints
    Ability to manage difficult client situations
    Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    Good analytical skills to identify issues and trends and an ability to absorb detailed information quickly
    Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics
    Strong influencing and problem-solving skills
    Results oriented: ability to drive change with positive, imaginative and flexible approach
    Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions
    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    Ability to operate in a matrixed environment
    Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels from clerical employees to senior management
    Ability to understand the business implications of decisions
    Initiative: identifies gaps in service and proposes how to add value
    Good knowledge of ER policies, practices and philosophy
    A strong HR background required
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
    MBA or Masters in Human Resources, Organization behavior, Psychology
Preferred qualifications:
    Experience advising on ER issues and actively managing ER cases, including disciplinary issues, grievances, performance monitoring and investigations
    Experience working in the IT/ ITeS industry preferred
