Job Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced individual for one of the Team lead position in the Client Reporting (CR) team. The successful candidate must have proven track record of having held leadership position in prior stint and managing teams. He / she should have excellent analytical and problem solving skills for not just supervising the daily operations of the team but also develop, implement, and manage the broader program/s throughout the Reporting lifecycle.

CR team is a part of Client Service organization within JP Morgan Asset Management. The Team supports the Global Sales and Marketing teams, Client Account Managers and Products teams in delivering first class service to our clients.

CR team is responsible for providing reporting, publishing and client service supports across all product groups and strategies for global institutional investor and funds.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ownership and Oversight of the function, making sure requests are understood, completed & delivered with highest accuracy & timeliness
  • Understand and implement regulatory requirements and changes across reporting and publishing teams
  • Responsible for MiFID and other regulatory reporting for Institutional and Fund accounts across various asset classes.
  • Manage and lead the team and team leads; guide and mentor team members to do their work effectively
  • Engage with team members for performance & career management, including setting goals & providing timely feedback as well as year-end appraisal
  • Managing stakeholder expectations with regular updates and strong governance model
  • Guide the teams to complete all manual or automated client & fund reports and marketing material, coordinate with Sales, Product, Client service teams and all relevant stakeholders;
  • Complete various ad-hocs, custom reports & other tasks as assigned;
  • Drive local and global strategic initiatives on process improvements, transformation and control enhancement
  • Partner with global teams to manage transition of work to India including managing project charters
  • Understand the numbers being reported, build the domain expertise including product knowledge
  • Escalate issues / concerns to senior management as necessary; Assist the team with issue resolution and manage escalations and expectations
  • Hire talent and work on various people related agenda to upskill the team through in-person and online trainings
  • Prepare internal MIS and other management reporting as assigned
  • Adhere to Company’s Code of Conduct and help the team follow the same

Experience & Skill Set
  • 8-10 years’ experience with s trong background in and/or familiarity with the Services Industry;
  • Prior leadership experience in Asset management, CIB or financial operations (preferable)
  • Working knowledge of Asset Management, mutual funds; Client servicing and complex financial instruments would be preferable
  • Experience and good knowledge of EMEA Regulatory Reporting such as MiFID II, CTI, PRIIPs, VAG, ESG etc.
  • Detailed understanding of calculation of cost and charges methodology for MiFID II and CTI Reporting
  • Eye on amendment to the Regulations like MiFID II, PRIIPs, KIDs and analyzing the impact on the existing process
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and team building/management skills with the ability to set clear priorities, delegate and deployment of team resources
  • Exceptional consensus building and influence skills, possesses the ability to achieve a common understanding and agreement across groups with differing perspectives
  • Demonstrated ability / experience of managing strategic projects / initiatives
  • Understanding of operational risks and related controls, audit and internal control framework
  • Proven track record of managing productivity across a diverse / complex organization through automation / robotics, process simplification and operating model efficiencies
  • Technically competent with ability to partner with Enterprise Technology teams to deliver solutions
  • Ability to work well individually as well as with teams, shares information, supports colleagues and encourages participation
  • Good communication skills (oral & written)
