Chitkara University is looking for Dean- School of Management, Center for Global Education. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly strategic, collaborative, and motivational leader to

influence a generation of learners at an important juncture in terms of strategic workforce

development in our region, and around the world.

As a leader of one of Chitkara University’s prestigious Centre for Global Education, the position

of the Dean- Business will serve as a key member of the leadership team and will support

academic excellence and promote originality and innovation in teaching and scholarship,

thereby continuing to differentiate the School in an ever-changing and highly competitive postsecondary landscape.

Experience and Skills-

  • Minimum of 5 years in leadership and/or management experience
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to teaching excellence and quality education preferably within an applied post secondary environment
  • Experience within Business, and/or International studies setting would be a definite asset
  • Experience in the provision of academic and instructional leadership to faculty and staff
  • Demonstrated understanding of student engagement for the purpose of achieving student success
  • Demonstrated understanding of the value and practice of applied research
  • A comfort level speaking with external groups internationally and with individuals and the ability to engage partners and other relevant organizations to enhance university operations
  • Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the proven ability to build rapport and support from a wide variety of stakeholders internationally.
  • Must have problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills as well as proven ability to build effective and respectful working relationships allow you to effectively engage, inspire and empower others

Education-

A Ph.D. in Management with global exposure.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly strategic, collaborative, and motivational leader to

influence a generation of learners at an important juncture in terms of strategic workforce

development in our province, and around the world.

The Dean of Business school is at least a three-year term appointment, with the potential for

renewal. This position is available to begin on or around Jan 1, 2022.
