Roles and Responsibilities

1. Network Conceptualization, Design and Optimization.

2. Knowledge of Hazardous Area Classifications and Engineering, Installation and Operational Practices for Electrical Equipment that are to be used in these locations.

3. Carrying out or reviewing equipment sizing calculations & specification of major & long lead equipment (with list of qualifying assumptions).

4. Generating / Reviewing Relay Protection settings and Coordination Studies.

5. Generating / Reviewing Schematic Diagrams and Understanding how to read ILDs & P&IDs in conjunction with the Schematics.

6. Understand and Utilization of Communication Protocols and their Design.

7. Has knowledge of Commissioning tests that are to be carried out for all electrical equipment.

8. Has knowledge of Electrical QA / QC Packs & Final Hand Over Packages

9. Assist in Technology Selection, Vendor Selection & Screening.

Desired Candidate Profile

Knowledge:

It is desired that the candidate possesses commercial acumen in carrying out the following:

a. Generate Scope of Work for Contracts (Special Conditions of Contracts)

b. Generate RFQ Documents;

c. Carry out Technical Bid Evaluations;

d. Generate Technical Queries and evaluate their answers from vendors,

e. Carry out or participate in Pre Bid Meetings;

f. Contract Management and Adjudication;

g. Measurement and Bill Processing.

It is desired that the candidate possesses working level knowledge of the following regulations

a. Knowledge of Electricity Acts, Rules and Grid Codes;

b. Knowledge of Environmental Emissions Acts and Rules (preferable)

c. Knowledge of Radioactive material handling and disposal regulations and rules (preferable)

d. Knowledge of Effluent Treatment Norms and Statutes (preferable)

Skills & Behaviour:

Experience:

8 to 12 years of work experience handling projects preferably in Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas or any continuous process plants.
