Job Description District Sales Manager

Planning and Coordination

  • Manage and guide a team of Sales Executives of an assigned territory to achieve the sales goals.
  • Setting reasonable sales target to be achieved by the sales team.
  • Shall allocate the area for the Sales Executive.
  • Monitoring the working as well as the sales performance of the team.
  • Work with Sales Executives in the field to ensure they implement successful sales process and promotion of the product.
  • Have own monthly working plan and get the same from the Sales Executive as well.
  • Strictly comply with the reporting norms set forth by the company for himself and Sales Executives.
  • Collect customer feedback and competitors activities of his territory. Report it to the Sales Management at Head Office.
  • Co-ordinate and participate in the promotional activities along with branding team to market the products and services.
  • Conduct monthly sales meet up and evaluate performance of sales team including the sales, coverage of area, Strike rate etc. Take corrective action, if required.
  • Organize Mason and Contractors meet of his area and maintain good relationship all top of the pack.
  • Responsible for attending conferences, meetings and industry/ trade related events.
  • Distributor Management
  • Fully responsible for managing the Distributors of his territory.
  • Ensure the Distributor maintains adequate stock of products to meet the demand from Resellers.
  • Responsible for handling the complaints and grievances of distributors and resellers by figuring out the problem and providing solutions.
  • Ensure that the outstanding of Distributors do not exceed about 30 days.
  • Monitor Resellers orders are properly and timely despatched by the Distributors.

Team Management

  • Coach and train the Sales Executive to ensure that they have adequate knowledge about the product and its features.
  • Motivate and encourage the Sales Executives to perform better at all times.
  • Solve the complaints and problems raised by the sales team within 24 hours, providing permanent solution.
  • Communicate regularly to the team with information received from top management and from other sources to enhance team performance and motivation.
