Exp: 5-8 years; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will be part of our engineering team with a focus on heavy electrical equipment and electrical systems typically found in power generation, heavy manufacturing facilities, Electrical equipment will include but will not be limited to Assembles experimental motors, circuitry, and/or complete product prototypes using knowledge of electric motor design Research new design concepts Electric Motors and Generators and perform conceptual study. Support manufacturing, installation and set-up for Electrical Equipment and Systems of Mock up or Prototype in shop floor. Conversant with National / International Codes of Electrical Equipment Design & Testing. Responsible for Motor & Generator design & development for various application areas including electrical vehicle and hybrid vehicle applications. Electrical design of motor/generator & electromagnetic analysis using basic theorems. Comparing different types motors (BLDC,PMSM,Induction etc) for EV & HEV applications. Develops methods to improve electric machine performance through improved materials, modelling methods, and design algorithms. Testing & validation of electric machines as per relevant standards. Proto type building & proving concept design. Thermal analysis of motor & applying different methods of cooling of motor. Costing of motor/generator. Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight. Ability to solve novel, difficult design problems. EDUCATION B-Tech /M-Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering EXPERIENCE 05 years of experience in Motors & Generators. With knowledge of Core electrical equipment & system is mandatory. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Hands on experience in Research & Development or Design Team. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills Ability to work effectively with team members of all disciplines A broad knowledge in Electrical Engineering practices and procedures Experience in basic programming Ability to work on multiple projects at one time Knowledge and experience in international designs and standards is essential.
