Functional Engineer Technology ITSM/Monitoring

As a servicenow implementer/developer you’ll be responsible for fast realization of prototypes as well as effective product development, by applying deep engineering knowledge of the most relevant coding platforms and standards, in combination with proven Agile collaboration methods and test-driven development.

What you’ll do

As ServiceNOW Functional Engineer in the ITSM & Monitoring team

• Work with various business stakeholders as well as Functional / Process Consultants to gather requirements.
• Work with Technical consultants in building, developing, configuring & testing solutions and integrations on ServiceNow platform especially using Service Portfolio, Catalog, Service Portal and Integration Hub.
• Responsible for translating functional requirements into technical requirements/ user stories.
• Responsible for exploring & presenting new solutions, upgrades, improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with other teams to design solutions, debug / solve problems and understands end to end business processes.
• Facilitate rollout of new functionality, interfaces, modules.
• Active participation in Agile Software Development Process
• Able to coach others
• Predict & Prevent issues and automate resolutions

What you’ll need

• Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science engineering, Information Science, or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in ITSM / ITOM implementation / development
• Good understanding of ServiceNOW landscape, existing model and strategic options to help teams make decisions on key issues at the intersection of tools, technology, and operation.
• Strong skills in ServiceNow workflows, forms, lists, business rules, UI components, web services, tables, performance tuning.
• Provide thought leadership in one of the functional areas, handle queries and competency building in respective functional area.
• Provide functional solution and clarification on the inter-module dependencies
• Knowledge on implementation / customization with SOAP, RESTful API, Client & Server side Scripting in ServiceNow
• Hands-on experience in ITSM module (Incident Mgmt, Change Mgmt, Service Fulfilment, Problem Mgmt, Service Level Mgmt)
• Hands-on experience in ITOM module (Service Discovery, Mapping, Event management, Event correlation.)
• Experience with ServiceNow development tools including Studio, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub
• Knoweldge with ServiceNow Service Portal including widget development and UI scripting
• Experience working on multiple integrations of ServiceNow - Monitoring Tools
• Good understanding of the overall NOW platform and integrations
• Excellent communication skills which allow effective communication with all ranks of stakeholders who may be technical or non-technical stakeholders
• Exposure to ServiceNOW platform capabilities like predictive AI Ops and CSDM
• Good Knowledge of ITIL standards
• Certifications preferred - ServiceNow System Administrator, ServiceNow Implementation Specialist or ServiceNow Application Developer
• Interest and preferably working experience in agile development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe…)
