Job Summary

Plan and implement material purchases to ensure materials availability on a global basis to all Asia Pacific Manufacturing Sites to meet material availability, inventory and speed.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work with suppliers to drive Supply Chain Speed improvements through shorter lead-times and quick turnarounds in delivery to support World Area Manufacturing sites and company customer service objectives
  • Work with cross function department to ensure material availability.
  • Resolve supply issues and develop supply chain risk mitigation and contingency plans, to improve material availability
  • Administer global contracts, agreements, and terms / conditions for WA Manufacturing sites’ purchases
  • Maintain purchasing parameter integrity in World Areas Manufacturing Sites business systems (Oracle)
  • Support Global Commodity Managers in implementing global commodity plans
  • Design and implement reporting dashboards and the associated data pipeline to deliver insights and enhance the workflows of internal teams
  • Conduct research on various business processes to uncover bottlenecks and suggest improvements. Pioneer ways to instrument our processes to easily identify inefficiencies.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Pro-Active and the ability to work independently and multi-tasking to complete assignments timely.
  • Deep interest and proficiency in data, metrics, analysis and trends, and applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentations skills
  • Able to perform night calls if required based on business needs. Working knowledge and trained in Lean techniques; SPC, 6-Sigma (Black or Green Belt) and Process Improvement tools and Problem-Solving Processes as per DMAIC.
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality System and solid understanding of Supplier and Process audits.
  • Strong ability to get results and committed in a highly matrixed organization will be key point for considerations.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Degree in relevant field, preferably in Business Administration / Supply Chain or Logistics with minimum 3 years of relevant purchasing experience of direct materials in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MRP and proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft Office such as excel and power point.
  • A great teammate with ability to work in a fast-paced environment to constantly deliver results and manage challenges.
