The Custom Solutions group is integral to the success of GlobalData by enabling our clients to gain greater insight and value from our knowledge and data sets. The team engage with some of the most senior clients to build a greater understanding of how GlobalDatas insights impact them. Our core offering includes opportunity identification, competitor intelligence, sales enablement, market deep dives and due diligence support.


Recently consolidated into a standalone division, Custom Solutions is growing strongly and is now looking to transform its delivery organisation. Historically, project delivery was conducted by the syndicated research and analyst teams. Going forward there will be a dedicated Custom Solutions delivery team in addition to some delivery continuing with the syndicated teams.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Lead the global delivery team for Custom Solutions, including both India-based and local country-based teams
  • Lead the set up of the dedicated Custom Solutions delivery team via two routes:
  • Manage the carve out of resources from the existing syndicated analyst teams
  • Recruit additional team members as required
  • Set up best-in-class project management processes including: demand forecasting, project resourcing, delivery tracking, recruitment, training and development
  • Track and continually optimise quality, efficiency, productivity and cost performance
  • Manage an ongoing recruitment and people development process to ensure the attraction and nurturing of the best available talent
  • Develop business cases for further investment in line with client demand and product development
  • Monitor client demand and manage a pipeline of product / offering development in conjunction with back-end delivery optimisation
  • Work with the consultants to instil a culture of performance excellence and client-focused teamwork
