Vedanta is a $30bn revenue and $10bn in profit organization and further plans to invest $20bn in 4-5 years in the expansion of their brownfield and some green field capacity of Oil & Gas, Renewable energy, display glass, semiconductor, mining, and smelting.

Vedanta’s Aluminium Business is one of the world’s top and India’s largest producer of aluminium at 2.3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The company is rapidly scaling its efforts to become a fully integrated, global leader in aluminium production, offering a wide range of high-quality aluminium products. Vedanta’s Bauxite and Coal mines vertical will play a crucial role in this endeavour, being strategically poised to be the largest value creators for the aluminium business.

To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals in the position of Head Smelter Finance- Vedanta Limited, Jharsuguda. This role will be crucial for controlling the finance and overall spend base for the Jharsuguda unit.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Finalization of IGAAP Accounts, notes to accounts and MIS Reporting
• Observing completeness of month end closing activities at consolidated level
• Compilation of Business Plan for the Smelter & Power Business
• Compilation and collition of various SBUs Data for consolidated entity level Business Plan, Plant wise BP
• Completion of Cost Audit along with filing with MCA
• Contribution to Bottom-Line by driving various cost reduction projects.
• Management accounting: Preparation of detailed MIS, Variance Analysis, Finance Reports including various management accounting aspects of the business and other management report required
• Accurate and quality-oriented reports circulate to management highlighting various critical points and various scenario building
• Driving a control over process owner for achieving their targets
• KRA development of each position and employee and monitoring of each person’s KRA

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Graduate Degree with a professional qualification in Accounting or Financial Management (ICAI/ ICWAI)
• All CA/CMA papers (if applicable) to be cleared in first attempt
• 60% throughout education with no gaps between degrees
• 14 - 18 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry in the Finance function
• Ability to manage the finance functions of Manufacturing unit
• Ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Communication and interpersonal skills and fast decision making
• Should be open to relocate to Jharsuguda
