Execution of engineering drafting tasks in accordance with the WorleyParsons Design Trainee Development Program DTDP. Also achieving discipline specific design trainee competencies to assist in producing design drawings and lists for a given project.
- Production of Project drawing and document design deliverables
- Backdrafting of design drawings to Engineers and Designers Mark ups
- Assist in the production of conceptual layouts and surveys
- Production of design drawings from a 3d intelligent model data base
- Self-Checking of design drawings
- Production of Materials Take Offs (MTO)
- Maintaining project files
Job Specific Knowledge:
Working knowledge of the latest discipline specific engineering codes and industry standards, design practices and quality procedures
Familiar with all relevant discipline design documentation and its role in the Design Process.
Working knowledge and understanding of AS1100
Industry Specific Experience:
Successful graduation from WorleyParsons DTDP or 3 years Design Office experience or discipline related competency level
Essential: Year 12 pass of at least 75% TER Score, Continuing study of Diploma of Engineering Technology in relevant discipline
Desirable: Study or completion of trade certificate or apprenticeship in the relevant discipline
HSE Capability:
Complies with the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health of WA
- All incident/hazards are promptly reported
- Correct procedures are always followed
- Ensures that work areas a hazard free
- Uses Personal Protective Equipment as required
Develop knowledge of health & safety within the workplace by:
- Attending HSE training sessions as required
- Being proactively involved in HSE continual improvement activities
Demonstrates behaviour that aligns to;
A workplace free of hazards, harassment & discrimination by:
- Reducing, controlling and eliminating hazards
- Completion/Compliance of HSE plan requirements.
- Nil instances of harassment/discrimination issues
- Provide constructive input at JHA reviews,
- Involvement in HSE continual improvement activities
Software Skills:
Proficient in either Autocad and Microstation CAD systems.
Sound knowledge of drawing office produced deliverables
Experience with database or 3D modelling .
People Skills:
Requires communication skills to be able to successfully work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other disciplines.
Extent of Guidance or Control:
Works under general supervision of Lead Designer/supervisor
Work requires an understanding of EMS corporate policies and procedures
Makes informed decisions when appropriate
Work follows applicable codes and standards, design practices and design quality standards
Works to a given schedule
