Process Data Engineer

Understand the complexities and details of the Work planning with preventive and corrective maintenance activities and Prepare comprehensive work packs/task lists for preventive/corrective maintenance of Field electrical equipment, Battery system, substation equipment, control system and idea of transmission/operation at HV/LV voltage level in oil and gas industry, Petrochemical industry equipment by studying the operations and maintenance manuals of OEMs, general task lists, equipment specific task lists, Test certificates, maintenance reports, spare part list, preventive maintenance strategies, Asset best practices , technical implementation letter (TIL) etc., and technical discussions with global, site maintenance leads/technical authorities & OEMs/Vendors etc.

The role is expected to provide detailed job plans (Routine /Non-Routine maintenance) including site preparation, material requirements, rental equipment requirements, manpower and resources with the appropriate task sequencing necessary to allow for the efficient scheduling and execution of Construction/Maintenance work. Primary interfaces include the Projects, Constructions, Maintenance and Turnaround Supervisor, Field Supervisor, Operations, Engineering, Trade Specific Specialist and Schedulers.

Prepare work packs for preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, shutdown, Turnaround maintenance activities and support maintenance and reliability engineers as assigned from end-to-end basis. Carry out assessment, ensure correct prioritization of work, troubleshoot & propose technical solutions virtually, co-ordinate discussion with stakeholders, conduct Risk Assessment, ensure good QA/QC, record keeping, & final job closure to enable equipment reliability & plant availability.

Understand the machinery constructions and maintenance methods such as proactive / preventive / corrective maintenance being followed in operating units and assist them in making changes and improve readiness of maintenance with sufficient time before maintenance activities begin.

Analyze technical data and documents and processes for Downstream-Manufacturing, Integrated Gas & New Energies & Upstream assets & other corporate businesses/functions of Shell by working with engineering, maintenance, operations and project teams & partners of respective OUs.

Dimensions

This role is expected to help Electrical Maintenance engineers in work planning, implementing the standard work packs for preventive/corrective maintenance of various Field Electrical equipment’s of various voltage level, give virtual support for optimizing calibration, trouble shooting, installation, commissioning procedures in various operating units across the globe, thereby effectively prepare any work that requires materials or resources to be ordered, in advance of the work order being issued, such that the scheduler can immediately bring the work order into the schedule without any intervention. Adhering to safety by ensuring all work plans are planned in the safest possible manner with a focus on goal zero. Direct impact on construction/ Maintenance efficiency and cost control. Direct impact on the construction/ Maintenance budget performance Direct impact on Routine /Non-Routine /Major Maintenance efficiencies and costs.

Principal Accountabilities

• Primary responsibility in preparing/developing work plan with comprehensive workpacks from maintenance reports, general tasklist, equipment specific task lists, spare part list, equipments drawings, circuit diagrams, single line diagrams, cause & effects,Equipment data sheets, operation and maintenance manuals of OEMs etc., for Electrical equipment in field and in substation for operating units/plants as per Shell Standards. Develop comprehensive plans in accordance with site Safe Work Practices and HSSE guidelines, and include all materials, manpower, work sequencing, rental equipment & tools, and entering requisitions for materials and services.
• Develop job plans with a cost-driven focus and with the asset/shell standards/Best Practices of float-based scheduling and cost control.
• Maintain interface with Technical, Turnaround, Production and Maintenance to obtain input when evaluating initial work scope.
• Involve appropriate stakeholders in pre-planning field visits to ensure involvement and buy in to job plans.
• Ensure appropriate turnover is being conducted by Contractor and Maintenance / Construction Field Leads.
• Review completed work for learnings after completion and close out.

Work Planning includes

• Building work packs that include detailed description of the tasks that need to be performed for maintenance of each equipment, parts required, tools required, time required and relationship between tasks including the pre-work preperation steps.
• Planning Work orders in SAP / Primavera / Roser / Other Planning tools and building library work packs that include detailed description of the tasks that need to be performed for time & condition based maintenance, breakdown maintenance, ordering parts required, service or tools required, estimating time required, Estimating cost of work order, network mapping and quality check points for minimum assurance tasks.
• Job hazard assessment, setting out risks anticipated required while performing tasks and creating Permit to work.
• Identifying the system condition for each operation activity tasks should be ascertained about the shutdown windows availability or suitable opportunities for maintenance activities.
• Planning of end to end work orders to enable efficient scheduling and ensure compliance of executable work orders.
• First level diagonisis of damage history, determining the failure mode on the basis of anomaly reports and informtion given in corrective maintenance work request/ notification.
• Investigating and analysis of CM work requset to identify the true cause of the problem and prepare work orders with the detailed tasks to repair the damage with as much as detailed information required to complete the job effectively including procedures, sketches, specifications or drawings deemed necessary.
• Improving productivity by ensuring the resource, special tool, material and service requirements availability before the job begins.
• Constantly engage with site maintenance leads, original equipment manufacturers, vendors and modify the workpacks as recommended/required by the site maintenance personnels.
• Anticipate & plan for mandatory spares, tools and tackles and manpower required for electrical equiment related to field and substation, if required from the vendors and accommodate the information in the workpack.
• Interact and communicate with the site focals for Preventive Maintenance Libraries and maintenance strategies, understanding the intricacies about how the actual maintenance activities for Electrical euipment eletrcial eqipment viz motors, transformers, switchgears,VCB,ACB,Contactors, batteries, battery charger, VFDs, areas at HV/LV voltage levels etc

• Network with counterparts and other levels of organization across the different operating units, data centers and develop networks within Shell.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education/Experience:

Mandatory Requirements:-

• University Degree in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

• Minimum 2 plus years of overall working experience in oil & Gas/ Petrochemicals with experience in One or more of following areas:

• Field eletrcial eqipment viz motors, transformers, switchgears,VCB,ACB,Contactors, batteries, battery charger, VFDs, areas at HV/LV voltage levels etc
• Experience in operation and maintaining electrical equipment, procurement and equipment selection OR/AND
• Installation & commissioning/operations, maintenance/design, engineering & selection of instruments for electrical equipments OR/AND
• Experience in preparing the maintenance work instructions, task lists, work packs, work and manpower estimation for major maintenance/overhauling of equipment, instruments calibration, installation, stroke checking etc. in various rotary/static equipment available in oil and gas industry OR/AND
• Experience in materials or resources to be ordered, in advance of the work order being issued, such that the scheduler can immediately bring the work order into the schedule without any intervention, Participated and supported ISO/safety-MS audits, as well as other related external audits, as part of Company Safety Control framework and management system OR/AND
• Experience in Diagnosing the cause of the problem in field equipment, troubleshooting and determines the scope of activity required to return the equipment back into service by packaging the work to the tasks, disciplines, materials and services to an effective completion, utilizes feedback from past work plan implementation to improve future work plans, Carry out root cause analysis on repeated failures and collaborate with operations and technologist to identify process related degradation/failure mechanism OR/AND
• Experience in Contribution to site reliability improvements. Identify, propose and execute improvement initiatives to eliminate plant reliability threats. Identify bad actors and make improvements plans to minimize or eliminate bad actors. Troubleshoot equipment failures to address and eliminate the root cause. Provide feedback on effectiveness of preventive maintenance, corrective generated from maintenance execution process OR/AND
• Performed Electrical equipment condition monitoring whenever required & liaise with relevant subject matter experts/specialist/OEM to address any arising issues, problems & concerns. Provide Instrument support to other maintenance discipline, provide support and allocate required resources for Turnaround execution in related Process Units e.g. scaffold erecting, lifting, excavation, etc. OR/AND
• Routine / Non-Routine Maintenance Planning & Work /Time Estimation skills

Preferable/Desirables:-

Skills in MS Office tools like Excel etc. are highly desirable.

Experience in using Primavera P6 software for work planning & estimation.

Knowledge of SAP PM/CM, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferable

Effective communication skill and stakeholder management is a necessary skill for the job.

Knowledge of Lean CI methodology is an added value.

Able to multi-task, prioritize and ensure delivery of priorities as promised, work without close supervision, and work through others to deliver results.

Virtual working experience is highly desirable.

Professional Engineering certification is an added value.
