The candidate will be a part of the suppliers risk review team for a global investment bank. Financial Risk Group of the client is responsible for assessing the risk of strategic and critical vendors covering key aspects of financial viability. We are looking for a candidate to play the role of a project manager.

Important responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Managing a set of companies for information gathering, which requires reaching out (via email) and communicating (email; phone) with vendors management teams (CFO/CEO)
  • Team management responsibilities including work flow management and creating and managing team reports and team tracker
  • Checking financial information received for completeness, supplement it with data extracted from public sources and premium databases, ensuring consistency
  • Interact and coordinate with high level internal stakeholders (ED/MD) of the client.
  • Reviewing the financial statements for revenue performance, stage of company, ownership and liquidity
  • Analyzing risk and flagging high risk suppliers
  • Ad hoc queries

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 2-5 years of experience in a Financial Services firm preferably in a project / team management role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good people skills - the candidate should enjoy working with people and be eloquent, confident, presentable, cordial, and calm under pressure
  • Basic accounting/finance skills, particularly understanding of the three main financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement)
  • Ability to articulate ideas and develop recommendations
  • Experience in working as a part of bigger teams working towards a common goal
