Job Description – Technical Architect

Technical Architect (Applications)

We are looking for a technical architect to create modern, scalable tech-stacks and build high-performing software applications. Our colleague in this role will lead a compact team of full-stack developers that is responsible for the entire software development life cycle from conception to implementation.

As a technical architect, you should be familiar with front-end and back-end programming languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries, and be a team player with a knack for visual design and usability. If you are also familiar with agile methods, we would like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design the structure of a technology solution.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods.
  • Work with product managers, analysts, and data scientists to ideate software solutions.
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
  • Write effective APIs.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
  • Create security and data protection settings.
  • Build features and applications with a mobile-first design.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or Solutions Architect
  • Experience developing desktop and mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with common stacks
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, Spring Boot), ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js)
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design
  • Knowledge of Microservices architecture
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Great attention to detail
