As a crucial member of our global team, the Learning and Development Consultant specializes in delivering key training programs in India, focusing on providing engaging learning experiences for graduates and emerging leaders.

This is a multi-faceted role that requires an enthusiastic marcomms individual capable of working on projects covering the full communications mix, helping to drive employee engagement, brand awareness and increased sales.

This role will be reporting to Senior Manager L&D and Marketing Communications Manager for Projects BU


Approximately 40%+ facilitating and associated admin, as guided by regional L&D Leader(s)

  • Global Graduate program face to face delivery in India (200 program participants expected in 2024)
  • Assist with Global Graduate program webinar delivery within time zone (APAC / EMEA)
  • Stepping into Leadership face to face delivery to support internal development of talent for forecast growth.
  • Professional Development Webinar delivery within the time zone (APAC / EMEA)

Up to 30% global Talent Development consulting and project support

  • Rasing local learning needs to regional head
  • Coordinating with local vendors (if required) for specialist training.
  • Marketing & communication of Wood talent, learning & development platforms & opportunities.
  • Partner with SMEs for content design, reviews and updates when required.

Up to 30% local HR & Internal Communications support

  • Focused on the development and delivery of impactful marketing and communications content in support of business objectives.
  • Take complex, technical topics and turn them into meaningful content.
  • Support increased employee engagement through effective internal communications across the BU/region.
  • Effectively maintain internal and external communications channels
  • Make a significant contribution to key marketing projects and events.
  • Work as part of a global marcomms function, ensuring alignment, efficiency and innovation of channels and messaging.
  • Support the measurement and reporting of marketing and communications effectiveness.
  • This role may require some training delivery outside normal business hours and travel to other Wood offices in India.

Education:

  • Degree qualified with post-graduation in management, preferable MBA (HR) with Professional Certificate in L&D.

Knowledge:

  • Educational Theories and Practices:Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and educational technologies.
  • Leadership Development:Knowledge of leadership theories and practices suitable for delivering early leadership training.
  • Local Learning Needs:Knowledge of how to identify and address learning needs specific to India.
  • Vendor Management:Understanding of how to evaluate and coordinate with local vendors for training purposes.
  • HR Practices:Basic knowledge of HR functions Talent Development practices.
  • Internal Communications:Understanding of effective internal communication strategies and platforms.

Skills:

  • Facilitation Skills:Ability to engage and educate a diverse group of learners effectively in both face-to-face and webinar settings.
  • Program Management:Skills in planning, organizing, and managing training programs, including related administrative tasks.
  • Cross-Cultural Competency:Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly within the APAC and EMEA regions.
  • Consultative Skills:Proficiency in providing expert advice and support in the area of talent development.
  • Project Management:Ability to support and learning and development projects, including coordination with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Communication and Marketing Skills:Skills in effectively marketing and communicating the value and opportunities of L&D initiatives.
  • HR Support Skills:Ability to provide basic support for HR-related functions and activities.
  • Internal Communication Skills:Proficiency in facilitating effective internal communications within the organization.
