Job Purpose:

The incumbent is Adani Airports’ Landscape Design Manager responsible for efficiently creating uniquely desirable, artistic and inspirational landscape designs, review and co-ordination of site wide exterior and Interior Landscape related designs prepared by Landscape consultants / EPC contractor / other agencies to ensure that the Airport’s overall vision is achieved.

Functional Competencies:

• Overall years of experience shall be minimum 10 years
• Experience in design management of “Landscape architecture” of large-scale infrastructure projects for Airport Passenger Terminal buildings, etc. is a preference
• Demonstrate and maintain a high knowledge of landscape trends, features and techniques
 Knowledge of how ecological conditions can affect a proposed design inspection knowledge and experience
 Innovation design thinking & practice featuring sustainability & technology advancements in modern aviation is preferred
 Experience with globally renowned iconic Airport structures at or equivalent to Changi / Heathrow Airport, etc. is an advantage
 Capable of materializing look & feel of softscape & hardscape aspects
 Experience in handling the stakeholders is preferred
 Design reflections on Passenger-first, Revenue maximization, Operational efficiency, Security-tight, Maintenance friendly, etc.
 Adaptation to Adani’s growing Airport’s business portfolio & its dynamics
 LEED AP- Sustainability, and or climate adaptation experience preferred
 Conversant with applicable local and international statutory norms, regulations, etc.
 Strong communication and stakeholder relationship management skills
 Should be familiar with application of design software’s like AutoCAD, Revit etc.

Key Accountabilities:

• To create harmonious, aesthetically pleasing, and functional Landscape areas. Areas may include Landside area, Terminal area, highways, walkways, and more
• To ensure complete design and engineering co-ordination of all disciplines is done for Landscape related areas including its Hardscape and Softscape design
• To ensure that all materials, their detailing, and specifications are fully in line with the requirement and perform value engineering where required
 Performing site analyses that include the assessment of current plants, soil conditions, lighting, the view, and architecture style
 The ability to communicate well with Consultants, Contractors, colleagues, and rest of the stakeholders.
 Researching topics such as plants and their ability to survive in an area, guidelines, and codes.
 Make presentations when necessary to discuss the project, complete with charts, sketches, and so forth
 Reviewing plans, proposed changes, and any other necessary documents
 Verify drawings with respect to design intent in-order to avoid variations with respect to measurement, site extent, service coordination etc.
 Regular monitoring of project progress, Site Visits and Quality inspection and audit
 Organize, drive, and monitor inspection reports to ensure and verify that the execution is in line with the design documents. All changes/variations/value additions to design shall be captured in these reports regularly
 Drive Green and sustainability initiatives for projects and reduction of carbon footprints
 Prepare and Maintain Weekly and Monthly reports
 Prepare and Maintain Design Action List for each meeting
 Prepare and Maintain Chronology reports with respect to revisions and allied changes
 Verification of the same by taking concurrence with all Design disciplines and update on a real time basis
 Prepare and Maintain Trackers for Correspondence & RFIs, Monitor the flow of information and maintain a record of design related changes/value additions, their impacts and delivery schedules for said changes
 Maintain folder integrity in the established format. Document and maintain the Project folder which shall encompass all information, correspondence, drawings etc.
 Organize and/or facilitate regular technical workshops / meetings between all/required stakeholders, prepare requisite presentations, agenda sheets and minutes of meetings as may be required
 Report all activities to the reporting manager to ensure transparency in working

Educational Qualification:

 A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape design or landscape architecture from a reputed Institute recognized by UGC.
