Senior Research Analyst / Lead Analyst (depending on the candidate’s experience profile)

The Opportunity:

The role involves supporting a US-based Asset Manager’s Equity Investment research team based out in the US. The client is renowned for its differentiated research practices.


Role Description:


  • End to end fundamental research on companies to come up with the investment thesis/view and present the same to the PM
  • Build new and update existing company models including forecasting
  • Active maintenance of the coverage that includes working on quarterly earnings and events like M&A among others
  • High degree of ownership and independence in evaluating stocks and recommending trade ideas
  • Directly interact with the management team of companies and sell-side analysts to accelerate your understanding of company/sector
  • Assist with production of marketing and client communication materials, as well as other thematic thought pieces

Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts(must-have)
  • Attention to detail and ability to stretch and learn(must-have)
  • Excellent financial modelling skills. Should be able to independently create, update and forecast financial models(must-have)
  • Should be fungible to cover multiple sector
  • Strong problem solving and high analytical rigor with a proven ability to formulate and systematically tackle unstructured problems
  • go-getter, curious, able to think outside the box, interested in learning about investing, interested in spending years in the role learning and growing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle large data sets and comfort with using advanced excel functions
  • Keen interest in financial markets and research

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA (Finance) or CA with CFA (US)
  • Prior experience in Equity Research
