The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • The ideal candidate is highly organized, action-oriented, hands on and accomplished in the development and deployment of scientific & statistical models across banking domains. The candidate must have a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to application architecture and is flexible to work on various areas of Analytics and Cloud stack. In this role, he/she will be expected to acquire a deep technical understanding of the product; execute a solution development roadmap; as well as provide mentorship. Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. Mine and analyse data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies. Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques

People and Talent

  • Hands-on programming and architecture capabilities in Data Robot, Python, Java, or SCALA
  • Experience in Machine Learning Libraries and Notebooks: Spark ML/MLib, TensorFlow, R Server, Zeppelin, Jupyter etc.
  • Experience in dealing with big data stores: Elastic, Cassandra, HBase, Hive, HDFS, etc.
  • Hands-on Software Architect/Technical Lead role.
  • Experience in product engineering using big data processing and streaming platforms Apache Spark and Apache Kafka, Other similar platforms.
  • Working Knowledge or experience of using modelling tools like Knime, RapidMiner, H2O or SAS preferred.

Other Responsibilities

  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
  • Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy.
  • Experience with open source software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complexity.
  • Ability to see multiple solutions to problems and choose the right one for the situation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10-15 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models
  • Master’s or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
  • Certification in AI/ML
  • AWS/Azure Certification
  • Coding knowledge and experience with several languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, etc.
  • Experience using web services: Redshift, S3, Spark, Digital Ocean, etc.
  • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modelling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
  • Experience analysing data from 3rd party providers: Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Core metrics, AdWords, Crimson Hexagon, Facebook Insights, etc.
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, etc.
