Our client is a global player providing a full spectrum of professional services including consulting, technical, scientific and project delivery for the government and private sector. They are seeking to hire talented professionals within their Rail team based across various offices in India supporting several ongoing projects in the UK, Australia and NZ regions.


Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore / Mumbai

Vacancies: 2 Positions

Salary: Negotiable - depending on experience

Eligibility:Must be either already based in India or eligible to work in India.

Mandatory Skills: Professional working experience on MicroStation, BRT / Open Rail, Track formation, Drainage Design and Team Management experience


Key Relationships:

  • Reporting to P-Way CRE/ Discipline Lead.
  • Lateral Interface with P-Way Design Team Members, Project Managers and Client teams.
  • 5-6 Team Members

Requirements & Duties:

  • Responsible for undertaking P-Way 3D alignment designs and leading, checking and approving designs produced by others.
  • Required to produce, check and approve drawings, design reports and associated documentation.
  • Represent the CRE/ Discipline Lead at design development and review meetings and workshops.
  • Will deputise for the CRE/ Discipline Lead as required.

Education and Eligibility Requirements:

Essential:

  • Degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline, including Civil, Mechanical or Railway Engineering. (or Technical Qualification + relevant experience)
  • Railway track design or related relevant design experience, minimum 12 years.
  • Experienced BRT user.
  • Experienced MicroStation user.
  • Experienced user of other relevant software packages including Clear Route, ProjectWise, SD Calculator.
  • Experience of checking and reviewing P-Way technical deliverables.
  • Excellent understanding of multi-discipline railway design interfaces.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to produce technical reports.
  • Extensive relevant railway design experience.
Desirable:

  • Chartered Engineer level membership of a relevant Professional Engineering Organisation or progressing towards Professional membership.
  • Knowledge of Open Rail software.
  • Experience of Network Rail CRE role or similar.
  • Knowledge and experience of producing standard P-Way deliverables to Network Rail - e.g. Form A, Form B, etc.
  • Experience of or willingness to work overseas for short periods.
  • Design management experience.
  • Permanent Way construction experience.
