As an Applications & Systems Performance Test Engineer, you will be part of a motivated engineering team. You will be working on the Qualys’ "Next-generation Platform & Middleware". Working with a team of engineers and architects, you will be responsible for prototyping, designing, developing tools to benchmark middleware and platform. This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a team-building Qualys’ next-generation Micro-Services based technology platform processing over a 100 million transactions and terabytes of data per day, leverage open source technologies, and work on challenging and business-impacting projects.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with developing performance frameworks for web-based, backend web-service-based applications (SaaS experience preferred).
  • Strong experience with performance test tools (JMeter experience desired)
  • Strong experience with performance monitoring tools
  • Lead and coordinate with other QA/Performance personnel to develop cost and time-effective performance test plans and should get them executed in time.
  • Architect and guide cross-team efforts for manual/automated efforts
  • Develop tools/utilities to speeding up the performance test process
  • Develop tools/frameworks in-house products to enable the development/QA teams.
  • Detailed knowledge of relational databases or better yet, NoSQL technologies
  • Java Performance profiling experience
  • Strong Application and Database debugging experience
  • Strong experience with performance and stress testing in a Linux environment.
  • Practical programming experience in Java/Python.
Additional Competencies:
  • Java/Python programming a huge plus
  • Performance testing in microservices distributed environment.
  • Performance sizing and optimization technics.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux internals
  • TCP/IP and network knowledge and troubleshooting
