Overall Objective


Leading the Record-to-Report (R2R) function for the for Asia Pacific region.The position is responsible for setting up, integrating and the subsequent management of the
Record-to-Report function for Asia Pacific.Responsible for delivering an efficient and effective end-to-end Finance process in support of the country based Finance Business Partners.The incumbent will ensure a high-quality service portfolio on behalf of internal customers and stakeholders, with prompt delivery times and quick reactions to changing needs. The position has people, budget and overall responsibility for the Shared Services Record-toReport function.

  • Internal and Customer Satisfaction: SLA achievements, Balanced scorecard of Process
  • metrics, including delivery performance; quality and timely communication
  • Support for the development and maintenance of new processes and intercompany SLA’s
  • Strategy: Support the growth and development of the APAC Finance proposition over time
  • Leadership: Performance and Motivation of the APAC Finance R2R team
  • Member of the APAC Shared Services Management team
  • Efficiency gains and process improvements, measured through specific KPI

Core Actions / Area of Responsibility


Setup of Integrated Finance Operations for Asia Pacific

  • Integrating the R2R process for Asia Pacfic into a centralized function for Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore
  • Deliver commonality in processes for the different legal entities
  • Design, deliver and adhere to a Service Level Agreement with the legal entities

Lead the integrated APAC Finance Transactions

  • Lead and manage the APAC Finance Transactions for R2R:
    • Control GL Maintenance
    • Month end and Year end Process and Reporting
    • Balance Sheet and P&L reviews
    • Reconciliation completion and resolution of reconciling issues
    • Internal Control and Compliance
    • Ensure tax compliance e.g. VAT/GST
  • Reporting of underlying process KPIs
  • Continuous improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of R2R
  • Manage balance sheet reviews and ensure all reconciling issues are reported and resolved within 90 days

Leadership, Planning and Execution

  • Lead the integrated R2R function supporting all associated APAC departments and employees
  • Develop site to world-class service delivery and process standards in line with SLA’s across all APAC
  • Attract, develop and maintain exceptionally engaged and skilled team
  • Develop and implement a sufficient set of policies and guidelines to ensure compliant and high-performing operations
  • Responsible for the R2R Finance process, including planning (long- and short-term), staffing, execution, Continuous Improvement (CI)
  • Effectively manage, motivate direct/indirect reports in the area of SLA’s, policy and process optimization, training and development, work planning, controlling and quality assurance
  • Actively contribute and participate in cross-functional meetings to further define deliverables

Operational Excellence

  • Optimize cost-efficient processes, contribute to the efficient, systematic and profitable operations in order to meet SLA timelines and quality demands
  • CI: Initiate and lead optimization projects
  • Evaluate and introduce or support new technologie
