Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for Lead Software Engineerto join their team in Bengaluru. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and AvionX business organization.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Software Engineering Manager to implement candidate-centric recruitment strategies helping to enable the BCA business to meet their organizational goals.

Position Responsibilities:

• Development of diverse engineering solutions for integrated avionics software.
• Development, integration, and testing of software system on embedded hardware. Development of engineering documentation and configuration management of system software infrastructure.
• Good experience in Avionics systems design, development, Validation/Verification, Functional Integration and certification aspects.
• Strong experience developing software products, scalable applications using a range of software models including object-oriented and functional design patterns
• Perform trade studies, Preparing white papers and in providing technology and product analysis.
• Capture, allocate, and decompose Airplane System Level requirements into Avionics Software level requirements.
• Manage configuration of software lifecycle data including implementation of continuous integration and deployment.
• Participate in product roadmap and strategies development
• Support/Lead SRR (Systems Requirements Review), PDR (Preliminary Design Reviews) and CDR (Critical Design Reviews).
• Software architecture development through system analysis and Subject Matter technical expertise.
• Mentor Sr Software engineers, to achieve required knowledge and help them in deliver high quality Software.
• Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across the world while defining software Requirements and Architecture, Design
• Support deliveries as defined in the data requirements list to the Boeing stakeholders.
• Support project management by providing periodic status and required metrics data, Metrics based management
• Be dynamic and support management and leads to ensure successful product deliveries.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate the Risk, issues and Opportunities on a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Strong Experience with Software Engineering life cycle activities in multiple Avionics domain –Avionics Platforms, Displays, Flight Management, Communication & Navigations systems,
• Experience in executing multiple DO178 AL A-D programs implementation
• Strong understanding of system and software architectures
• Strong Programming Experience in C/C++
• Strong experience on RTOS system programming
• Very Good understanding of DO178C standards is mandatory
• Strong experience developing software products, scalable applications using a range of software models including object-oriented and functional design patterns
• Good experience working with Avionic Communication Protocols
• Storing Embedded Application Programming experience
• Data Analytical, Modelling Skills - Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
• Demonstrated Lead Software engineering experience with hands on involvement in multiple phases of the program life-cycle, including early system design and development.
• Ability to effectively communicate with engineers, executive and senior-level management, and non-engineering support staff to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables is essential

Typical Education & Experience:

Bachelors Engineering degree, Preferably Electronics/Aeronautical/Electrical / Systems Engineering and typically 12+ or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 11+ years’ of related work experience etc.).
