Position Description:

Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter in Administration. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialization to develop simple applications solutions. Second level professional with direct impact on results and outcome.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities include the managing of servers across the locations which includes Linux, appliance OS, Windows and a footprint of citrix Xen & Oracle VM in a Development, UAT, production environment. Incident management, good knowledge of ticket management tools. Should be a team player with excellent problem solving skills. Ability to manage/handle Sev 1 tickets on priority, support On-Call 24X7. Good communication skill is must to work with vendor and onsite team

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Primary Skills :
Linux Administration, Virtualization & Infrastructure, Windows server,
Secondary Skills:
Automation - Puppet & Ansible, Networking and firewalls (Cisco ASA or Brocade 5400 preferred)

DevOps/System Admin experience ranging between 3-4 years
In depth Linux/Unix knowledge, good understanding the various linux kernel subsystems (memory, storage, network etc)
DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, HA & Load Balancing
Configuration management using tools like Puppet & Ansible
Ready to work in 24/7 shifts with oncall support
Monitoring tools like Nagios, Groundworks or similar
Virtualization experience like VMware or Oracle OVM

Core understanding of UNIX systems. (RedHat 5,6,7)
Core understanding of Windows systems. (2008/R2, 2012/R2, 2016)
Experience working with an Incident Management System (such as IPcenter, BMC Remedy, or Service Now).
Manage Windows patch content utilizing WSUS
The ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical material to staff and management at all levels of an organization.
3 -5 years of System Administration experience in any size environment.
Candidates must be flexible to work overnight and weekend coverage shifts.
Experience working with Group Policy Administration
Current with latest technologies but has a various diverse history in IT (To handle vulnerabilities that may be several years in existence)
Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (perl, python, bash, etc)

4- 6 Years - Linux Administration, Vmware Virtualization & Infrastructure, Windows server
