As a Linux Server Administrator, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and administration of Linux based applications, Operating Systems (Desktop and Server). You will also be responsible for coordinating with cross functional teams to deliver IT services for customers. We are looking for candidates - L1 or L2 with 2 years’ experience in LINUX administration.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day LINUX system administration.
  • Expert & hands-on knowledge on trouble shooting Linux System.
  • Very good understanding of capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Exposure to server hardening
  • Expert knowledge on Package installs, patch management, server builds, Server upgrades, License management.
  • Expert knowledge in LVM, RAID.
  • Hands on knowledge and network administration on NFS, SAMBA
  • Hand-on knowledge on various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10 etc.)
  • Good exposure to DNS, EXIM/POSTFIX, FTP, APACHE, NGINX, MySQL, Firewall services.
  • Perform a daily check for error logs and system health status checks on all Linux servers.
  • Ensure resolution of all critical Linux servers and application problems within acceptable SLA time frames.
  • Knowledge of Linux Software installation (rpm, yum, source code).
  • Understanding of LVM, Iptables, Cron, Networking, LAMP Stack.
  • Hands on Nagios or any Monitoring tool.
  • Comply with defined processes and update tickets with SLA.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Should have excellent communication skills for international customers and excellent customer interfacing skills.
  • Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required
  • Required qualification - B. Tech/ BE
  • Certifications - RHCE, Plesk, cPanel or any Cloud (AWS, AZURE, GCP, Alibaba) Certification
  • Must be aware about the basic security aspects in the hosting industry.
