Position Title* & Location :Coordinator, Logistics Execution, Open for Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore

Position Purpose :A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for executing all logistics activities and planning of routes for a given perimeter so that CHEP provides a constant and efficient supply of equipment to its customers (Retailers and Manufacturers) at the right time, in the right manner, and at the cheapest cost to serve to deliver high customer satisfaction

Measures :

  • OTIF: On time arrival day and hour and in full for all type of deliveries, collections, relocations, managed exchange, and managed recovery orders.
  • Volume of customer Service Complaints and resolution delay.
  • Truck turnaround for Dedicated fleets.
  • Dedicated truck capacity utilization.
  • Order fulfilment
  • Cost optimization project impact & delivery
  • Maintaining the logistics cost as the forecasted/budgeted figures

Major/Key Accountabilities :

  • Daily Management of order processing.
  • On Time Performance to Customers and transport quality tracking and monitoring.
  • Logistics Support for CHEP & External Managed Service Customers.
  • Dedicated fleets management. Route Management.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, project, and timeliness targets
  • Contact with local customers and third-party provider (Service Centres, D locations, PT Call Centre) to deliver CHEP orders.
  • Optimize daily transport planning and execution in the most efficient way (on time & cost efficient) for customer and stakeholders.
  • Meet on time delivery (OTD) requirements and follow on discrepancies with suppliers and Customer Service.
  • Maintain proper and accurate Pre-Shipment and Post-shipment Administration.
  • Track and Trace: Supervise, plan, and monitor logistics transportation activities including, but not limited to, relocations, issues, collections, customs, cross border trips
  • Proof of Delivery.
  • Over, short, and damaged shipment issues.
  • Evaluates, records, and responds to additional/special service requests (i.e. lift-gate, inside delivery, etc.).
  • Work with transportation providers and freight payment team to ensure proper accessorial cost and flows.
  • Handle damage and loss claims.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issue.
  • Respond to any issues or complaints from customers, sales, and asset management
  • Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
  • Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
  • Ensure that logistics operations comply with laws, regulations and safety requirements
  • Track the plans/goals to reduce carbon emissions associated with storage or transport activities.
  • Participate in improvement projects (in country and across organisation) and actions to drive Supply Chain efficiencies

Challenges/ Problem Solving :

  • Data analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly logistics KPIs and metrics in order to derive conclusions and deduct potential areas for optimization and efficiencies
  • Matrix organization reporting and communication: staying aligned with strategic project objectives from the line manager and operational objectives from the functional manager
  • Analyse root cause of issues and generate plans for solving it.This can be range between routine and patterned (day-to-day within procedures) or more complex in nature requiring analytical and innovative solutions.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field

Desirable qualifications :

Master’s degree in supply chain or relevant field

Experience :4 years of experience in related field

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Working autonomously - Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Working in a matrix environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the logistics industry
  • Solid understanding of any Logistics or TMS software.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in standard logistics software (TMS) in addition to SAP, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio, and Word.
  • Analytical mindset and good complex problem-solving skills.
