Main mission
The role of a Logistics Leader is to manage the logistic activities of the PPIC at the lowest cost with the best customer service, deploying the PC&L standards processes and continuously improve their effectiveness, efficiencies and sustainability.
The Logistics Leader is accountable for PPIC PC&L Budget realization (Inventories, Logistics and Packaging & Headcount) and for the execution of the PCL standard processes related to Customer management and deliveries, logistics planning, internal and external flows managements, warehouse & inventory management.
Deliverables, Performance Indicators
- Financials : transportation costs, packaging costs, inventory level : Adherence to budget, PC&L overall budget
- Delivery : Customer satisfaction : MPM, on time delivery
- Systems : KPI related to FCS and standard tools usage ( for ex : PIC PDP adherence, Master data accuracy), KPI related to PC&L fundamentals adherence
Activities
Business planning & Entrepreneurship
- Build and commit on PC&L Budget, as per Division/PPIC/Program PC&L strategy (inventories, transportation, packaging, shared service scope, etc.).
- Lead the logistics team and set PC&L objectives according to ownership/accountability for the PC&L team members.
- Ensure the strict respect of agreement with program and maintain constant communication with to ensure full alignment on strategy and execution.
- Monitor, measure & control transportation costs, packaging costs, inventories.
- Measure and communicate results in a transparent way.
Process execution & development
- Ensure customer satisfaction: anticipate customer requirements and maintain good relationships, manage the launch of new programs within the PPIC, supervise day-to-day activities.
- Monitor logistics processes: From Long term planning set up to Day-to-day activities supervision: prepare and propose the Sales and Operations Plan (PIC) to the PPIC management, assure the responsibility of the Master Scheduling Plan (PDP) with pilot plant production team, improve & enhance performance and relationships of suppliers and logistics partners.
- Monitor logistics performance and implement necessary improvement actions in coordination with other functions (Quality, HSE, Program…..).
- Ensure the day-to-day activities related to reception, allocation of parts to storage location, deliveries to production line, withdraw of finished goods from production line, bookings, TPA preparation, shipment.
- Define the storage requirements.
- Monitor visual management system: inventories, FIFO etc. Ensure adequate production lines supplies.
- Manage reusable packaging flows inside PPIC.
- Improve logistics performance: surface optimization, labor efficiency, handling utilization.
- Develop logistics, perform freight analysis, interface with carriers, resolve carrier issues.
- Develop packaging requirements, quotes, resolve packaging issues.
- Ensure adherence to department budget.
- Ensure adherence to FES, HSE and logistics mandatory rules.
Technical competences: Knowledge of the processes
- Understanding of SAP usage and Functionalities.
- Knowledge of the ERP processes & Tools + logic to detect, understand and solve issues.
- MIFA/MIFD design
- Global & local customs & taxes knowledge
- Import & export know-how
Business competences: Build some intimacy to have a good relationship with
- Sales & Customers, Purchasing & Suppliers, Program team & Engineering, PPIC’s in global Faurecia locations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Bachelors Degree in any stream
- Prior experience in relavant field preferably in automotive industries
- Global exposure of managing logistics
