Who we are looking for:

A high energy team consisting of analysts in the UK & India facilitating Data Management / Security support for the leading Asset Management companies. Data Management activity includes:

  • Provide expertise in day-to-day security universe queries. Process security level updates to the Investment Book of Records (IBOR) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in oversight and governance of State Street’s offshore Teams and Joint Venture partners ensuring all client queries are processed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Liaise with different areas of State Street to help facilitate smooth operational support, working closely with other State Street Teams in: India, UK and the USA.
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with corporate standards and business objectives. Maintain clear and effective communications with immediate colleagues and Management

The team you will be joining is a part of Middle office function (F2B - ALPHA). Alpha team is also known as Front to Back office strategy asset management. These services are fully integrated to provide complete end-to-end solutions that span the front-, middle- and back-office requirements of institutional investors.

What you will be responsible for:

As Officer you will:

  • Provide expertise in all security level queries impacting State Street IMS’s client base. Candidate should be fully proficient with security data impacting Equities / Fixed Income for all jurisdictions/markets across the globe.
  • Responsible for answering client queries in relation to all aspects of Data Management such as: Security Identifiers (SEDOL/ISIN), Coupon day counts/accruals, Classifications, Hold Types, Payment conventions.
  • Run Bloomberg reports/downloads to gather key data in order for updating the Security Master File (SMF) records in State Street’s universe.
  • Load client level security data directly into State Street’s Data Warehouse (ESP) ensuring all records are loaded in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide oversight and governance of State Street’s Joint Venture off shore partners. Ensure checklists are completed on a day-to-day basis and provide key support and KPI’s back to the UK Data Management Oversight Team
  • Review reconciliation output from internal Operation Control Framework breaks relating to security level breaks and update clients book of records where required.

What we value:

  • PC literate – Strong on Excel and other MS office products. SQL knowledge would be advantageous
  • Strong background knowledge of security level information. Comfortable with Bloomberg query tools. Pricing methodology of different security types would be ideal.
  • Good time management & leadership qualities
  • Strong communication skills in order to work with UK colleagues.
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable and show initiative in different circumstances and under pressure.
  • Flexibility in working outside of your responsibilities, and areas of expertise.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Master degree prefer

Additional requirements:

  • Confident, out-going personality with ability to make decisions and liaise with other professionals
  • Team player. Must be willing to learn and assist colleagues in their day-to-day responsivities sometimes working against tight deadlines.
