Location: Surendranagar, Gujarat

Position: Manager – Production


Summary:

This position is responsible for end-to-end production/manufacturing operation, developing and adhering to production schedule (monthly, weekly, daily). Upkeep of Hershey Asset (Autonomous and Preventative maintenance), deliver best in class OEE. Following up for material requirements and connectivity schedules. Ensuring product Quality as per Hershey standards, controlling material variances, MIS. Taking External and Hershey internal Audits.


Major Duties/Responsibilities:


DELIVERY

  • Set the Yearly and Quarterly Action Plans required to deliver the Factory Strategic Choices and Master Plans
  • Apply Lean; Six Sigma methodology to accelerate Performance Rate of Improvement
  • Deliver the Productivity projects identified - Use internal; external benchmarks to drive continued improvements.

QUALITY

  • Secure Product Superiority through minimized product variability and spec consistency, ensure Quality Parameters are met and GMP, GHP etc are maintained.
  • Ensure the implementation of Innovation Projects respecting agreed lead time and product specifications (First Time Right)

COST

  • Lead the process for organizing, controlling and utilizing all resources, human and materials to maximize achievement of the Masterplan for his/ her area within prescribed timescales. Responsible for MIS and Controlling material variances.

CULTURE DEVELOPMENT AND COACHING

  • Work towards developing a zero- risk operating culture and build a safe working environment
  • Coaches the Production Teams towards Operational Excellence through Best Practices of Quality and Manufacturing Standards.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:


Knowledge:

1. Manufacturing operations, Industry regulations

Education:B Tech/ BE (Food, Dairy, Industrial, Mechanical)

Experience: 10+ years of experience in operations/production/manufacturing
