Job Purpose

This group is responsible for the permissioning, approval process, and source reporting and data usage compliance of market data both internally and externally. Our remit:

To provide a value-add service across ICE Data Services’ multiple business lines.

To establish a proactive, forward-facing, service orientated group with a clear understanding of the value of the corporate strategic assets (“the data”) of which we are in effect the custodians.

To implement a series of clearly defined best practices across all business lines and all product lines in order to support our global business in a timely, efficient & compliant way.

To implement robust processes to support the sales cycle and the client on-boarding process while adhering to our core principals of source compliance & consistency

The Market Data Administration discipline’s mandate is to provide a first class management service to permission, report, and remit payment on behalf of our clients in compliance with our source obligations.

The Market Data Operations Analyst is responsible for timely and accurate usage entitlement and reporting of Third Party Market Data. Ensure that 3rd party invoices received are processed efficiently and reconciled against our entitlements. The candidate should possess the following skills: team-oriented; strong sense of responsibility and accountability; ability to work well independently; ability to achieve repeatable results; and knowledgeable of departmental and company responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare and distribute consistent and comprehensive usage reporting of ICE Data Services’ client base to various Third Party Market Data Suppliers on a monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual basis

Liaise internally and with vendors in order to obtain approvals

Provide estimates for available 3rd party and exchange pricing

Validate invoices and payment requests from sources against usage reporting and other contractual obligations (i.e. license and telecommunications fees.)

Liaise with sources and internal stakeholders to resolve issues regarding usage reporting or billing.

Perform other administrative tasks as directed

Special projects and tasks as assigned.

Required Experience:
College degree preferred or equivalent industry experience

Exhibits a proactive nature and approach to learning, problem identification and problem resolution

Proficient 2011 Microsoft Office skills; Concentration in Excel is essential

Excel proficiencies include: Pivot Tables/Charts, VLOOKUP, Index Match

Thoroughness, attention to detail and the ability to think and work both independently and within a team environment

Service oriented toward both internal and external clients

Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills

Good written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
