Job Description Summary As Mechanical Engineer, you will be a core member of the Maternal Infant Care (MIC) Hardware team working on installed base issues and developing new features for the Fetal care products. You will be responsible for the mechanical hardware design and will have to work on the solutions to the challenges faced by customers and field issues with a constant eye for improvements, quality, cost productivity and reliability.

Maternal Infant Care (MIC) business delivers key products in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) like Incubator, Warmer, etc and Labour and delivery rooms like Fetal monitoring. Our motto is “sending moms and babies home healthy”.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role you will -

  • Conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new products and/or Installed base mechanical components & subsystems using mechanical engineering principles.
  • Create & review engineering drawings, understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)principles, tolerance stack-up analysis, material selection & selection of manufacturing processes
  • Hands experience on 3D CAD modeling tools for design and development of mechanical components and sub systems
  • Perform mechanical calculations and work on finite element analysis and modelling, design FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis)
  • Develop test plans & perform testing and verification of designs
  • Engage in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, testing, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
  • Leading development of new processes in the areas of metal working, castings, injection molding, joining & surface coatings
  • Knowledge of industrial grade plastics/polymers and their design & manufacturing principles
  • Work with customers and/or technical leaders to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives
  • Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability

Qualifications/Requirements

  • B.S/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience
  • Relevant industrial experience in mechanism and component design
