Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop customer intimacy through regular store Survey Report and competitive shopping; apply findings with Sales and Product Development team.
• Develop and present an overall product assortment for each season.
• Supervise product development process to ensure that the merchandise consistently appeals to the customers needs.
• Responsible for all meetings and outcomes and make sure the team adheres to project deadlines.
• Communicate with company management to recommend business opportunities and ways to increase sales and optimize profit.
• Partner with Design and stay current on fashion and technology trends.
• Bring customer and market perspective to the design and product development process.
• Approve sketches, color prints, concepts with Design team.
• Collaborate with design, product development, and sourcing staff to meet costing targets on all products developed seasonally.
• Attend customer vendor meetings and will assist in presentations as needed to discuss trends, white space and competitor edge.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelors Degree required
• 3+ years in Home Textiles merchandising, Bedding, Bath and/or Home Dcor product experience preferred.
• Must have acute sense of customer intimacy and product category.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Merchandise Analysis skills needed.
• Knowledge of fabrication with cut and sew.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
• Computer literate
