Introduction

Tenneco’s Performance Solutions business segment enhances performance on a variety of vehicles – from passenger cars through commercial truck off-highway and industrial (CTOHI), to rail and aerospace. The OE business group’s Advanced Suspension Technologies, Ride Control, Braking and NVH Performance Materials business units are dedicated to helping drivers and passengers experience the perfect ride by delivering differentiated technologies that help improve performance, handling and comfort. The Systems Protection business unit brings solutions that help reduce abrasion, heat, noise and electromagnetic interference in critical components.

Summary

This role develops, industrializes, implement and improve manufacturing assembly processes for shock absorber parts and drives process standardization. The role requires a broad technology set integrating engineering and operations technology skills as well as very strong communications skills to develop and deploy state of the art assembly equipment. In addition, the role provides expert support to the different plants and regions in the whole global organization and ensures that lessons learned, best-practices etcetera are shared/documented by leading the regional CCT Community.
  • Expert in equipment development, industrialization and implementation.
  • Working knowledge of PFMEA, control plans and process flow charts.
  • Strong understanding of tooling, equipment building and automation principles & techniques.
  • Strong understanding of PLCs.
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Familiar with machine safety components and related machine integration
Required Skills
  • Proficiency with PC applications including spreadsheets, word processors, databases, presentation and flow charting software.
  • Ability to make effective presentations to a wide variety of audiences including senior managers, customers and employee groups. Comfortable and effective in working across various groups that vary from fundamentally technical to non-technical.
  • Time Management: demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel in support of job function (plants, customers, suppliers etc.).
Required Experience
  • Degree in Mechatronics /robotics Engineering/ Technology.
  • Project management experience is required.
  • Actively involved in development of automatic assembly machines.
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing engineering work experience preferably in automotive sector.
  • Spoken & written English is mandatory.
