Overview:
Waters, the world’s leading specialty measurement company that cares about inclusion and diversity is seeking for an Order Operations Specialist to support Instrument Centre of Excellence (COE) team. This position’s primary responsibility is to manage all orders to cash processes covering Waters business for instruments. The role will be based in our Bangalore office and will report to Order Operations manager, India and functionally to Instrument COE Leader.

The successful candidate for this position shall own ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment and execute daily routine tasks with great attention to details and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Process orders in full cycle from order entry to invoicing accurately with accordance to Waters guidelines and policies (Activities include but not limited to: SAP entry, preparation, order confirmations and proforma invoices, invoicing).
  • Vet Letter of Credit drafts and arrange LC for bank negotiation for smooth payment process (Activities include but not limited to: preparation of documents in compliance of LC’s requirements, insurance certificates, certificate of origin, beneficiary certificate, etc.)
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external parties to manage Requested delivery date (RDD) of sales orders on customer requirements and sales linearity
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is planned and prepared accurately to enable transit from origin to destination without delays and in accordance with customer’s need and foreign trade regulations
  • Monitor backlogs to expedite deliveries with no past due dates
  • Perform closing activities weekly, monthly and during quarter end
  • Close collaboration with Global Operations team to ensure efficient operation from distribution centers, Import/Export, warehouse related activities and freight forwarders to ensure on time delivery to our customers
  • Provide post-sales support such as physical return, replacement, and others
  • Participate in process improvement activities to streamline work process
  • Perform back-up / standby duties as needed to ensure smooth daily Order Operations to support business growth
Qualifications:

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce/business management/logistics/science discipline with minimum of 7-12 years’ working experience in order management/order processing/ distribution logistics / supply chain
  • Knowledge in Letter of Credit documents and bank negotiation
  • Multi-national company experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in office software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), with knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of procurement (Material Requirement planning) and familiarity with customs clearence.
