The incumbent is a part of the RRPS HR and OD organization and will work closely with In country Business Managers, Country HR Manager & Sr HRBP, to ensure effective delivery of HR operations in India.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide effective HR support to local business managers ensuring business needs are met in line with Company HR policies and processes. Work with line managers and employees to resolve problems in areas beyond GBS HR remit e.g. where face-to-face support or knowledge of the local business context is required.
  • Have prime responsibility for local deployment of Company HR processes such as Performance Management, Reward Review, Role grading, Salary policy, Engagement Surveys and deployment of Diversity & Inclusion plans.
  • Advise, guide and coach line managers on their HR responsibilities, management behaviours and team management.
  • Drive the effectiveness of the HR delivery model: Guide line managers to obtain support from the right areas; maintain a strong partnership with other HR Service Operations activities to ensure overall service delivery; ensure accurate data management by advising GBS HR on all organisational changes and complying with approval & notification procedures.
  • Provide effective employee relations and a positive working climate locally, closely working with employee representatives, line management and liaising with Regional / Global ER team where necessary. In particular;

Work with line managers to ensure effective application of agreed working practices and arrangements. Ensure Information and consultation processes are followed. Support collective negotiations where appropriate. Be a champion for employee advocacy and engagement, acting on issues and informing the wider agenda.

  • Manage local components of projects and wider change programmes. In particular;

Implement site level organisational change / re-design Support wider business /corporate and HR change programmes Identify gaps and improvements in local HR service provision in line with HR strategy, suggesting initiatives for the local agenda where appropriate. Manage local projects aligned to HR Business Operations priorities as required.

  • Provide employee/workforce development by directing line-managers to appropriate learning solutions or by identifying new learning needs to Learning Services.
  • Support recruitment activity by ensuring vacancies are defined, graded and approved and line-managers directed to the appropriate resourcing services.
  • Support Country HR Manager on the harmonisation of Country HR policies, procedures & practices
  • Support Business sites for advice & compliance to local employment & labour laws
  • Work with Businesses to support Employee engagement & employee welfare activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will be educated to graduate level or higher, with a degree in a business or HR related discipline.
  • He/she will have a minimum of 12 to 15 years of HR experience.
  • In Depth knowledge of HR function and its capability to support business objectives
  • Broad knowledge of the HR best practice across Employee Relations, Reward & Benefits, Resourcing, Development and Employment Law.
  • Broad Change management skills
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with all levels,
  • Experience of working with management teams & working in a matrix organisation, preferably in a multinational company
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others & manage conflicts
  • Good proficiency in English communication (Verbal and Written)

Other requirements

Candidate should be proficient in use of MS-Office & computer skills
