Job Description: Personal Security Officer (PSO)We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Security Officer (PSO) to join our team. As a PSO, you will be responsible for providing professional protection and security to designated individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being in various environments. Additionally, you will be required to handle driving responsibilities for the protected individual. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in security and protection, exceptional situational awareness, defensive driving skills, and the ability to make quick, critical decisions under pressure.Responsibilities:
  • Personal Protection:
  • Provide close personal protection to designated individuals, including corporate executives, high-profile clients, or other VIPs.
  • Threat Assessment:
  • Assess potential security risks and threats, ensuring preemptive measures are taken to mitigate any potential dangers.
  • Security Planning:
  • Develop comprehensive security plans tailored to each individuals specific needs and circumstances.
  • Surveillance and Monitoring:
  • Conduct vigilant surveillance and monitoring of the surroundings to identify potential security risks and react swiftly to any threats.
  • Driving Responsibilities:
  • Safely and responsibly transport the protected individual to various locations using defensive driving techniques.
  • Travel Security:
  • Accompany and ensure the security of designated individuals during travel, both domestically and internationally.
  • Emergency Response:
  • Be prepared to respond rapidly and effectively in case of emergencies, ensuring the safety and evacuation of the protected individual if necessary.
  • Communication:
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with the protected individual and relevant stakeholders to convey important information or changes in security protocols.
  • Conflict Resolution:
  • Possess the ability to de-escalate potentially volatile situations and resolve conflicts professionally and tactfully.
  • Firearms Handling (if applicable):
  • If authorized and trained, responsibly carry and use firearms for personal protection purposes as required by the job.
  • First Aid and Medical Training:
  • Be proficient in first aid and possess knowledge of emergency medical procedures to provide immediate assistance if needed.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Continuously assess potential risks and vulnerabilities, implementing appropriate security measures to ensure the individuals safety.
Requirements Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Personal Security Officer or in a similar role, with a strong background in security and protection.
  • Excellent physical fitness and the ability to perform under physically demanding situations.
  • Extensive knowledge of security protocols, practices, and threat assessment.
  • Exceptional situational awareness and the ability to anticipate and react swiftly to potential security threats.
  • Defensive driving skills and a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with the protected individual and other team members.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Any relevant certifications, licenses, or training in security, close protection, first aid, and firearms handling are a plus.
