ME team and networks of the Division/product line
    • Staff, train, coach, asses and develop the program and plant ME teams (direct and dotted line)
    • Participate to the identification of experts.
Key ME indicators
    • Consolidate and report key ME indicators in plants
    • Propose associated action plans.
  • In the case of MSPG: Experts and ME advanced team are managed at division level:
    • Participate to the Division industrial strategy
    • Expertise development
    • Prepare and propose process innovations. Drive process when allocated to the Division.
    • Secure know-how transfer to his team and ME in plants as well as cross-fertilization and knowledge database improvement.
    • Evaluate the performance of the team and propose improvement plans.
    • Train, coach ME community and operations about processes and FES guiding principles
    • Feed-back lessons learned to Industrial community and product development teams
His role as Plant Maintenance Manager is to direct and coordinate the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for all equipment and facilities, (i.e.: planning, realisation, sub-contracting follow-up, restart, validation¿), in order to ensure optimum capital utilization. The main missions of the role are to:
    • Be part of the procurement of new equipment to assure manufacturing, maintainability and Health, Safety & Environmental and requirements are met
    • To define technical specifications for new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities
    • Direct and coordinate both repair and preventive maintenance requirements for all manufacturing equipment
    • Support continuous improvement efforts: propose and implement continuous productivity, efficiency and quality improvement actions for all facilities
    • Support the development of target Material & Information Flow Analysis (MIFA) and plant layout
    • Develop capital budget requirements to adhere to established facilities standards
    • Define and monitor quality, cost and delivery objectives given to external companies when intervening: subcontracting, ordinary and major maintenance actions, energy, security systems¿
    • Manage the spare parts and consumables warehouse
    • Recommend safety policies and assure safety/legal controls are tested and reliable
    • Be responsible for the computer aided maintenance management system
    • Coordinate and manage the maintenance team
Ensure the continuous development and coaching of maintenance technicians and engineers
