For our future India plant located in Mundra, we are looking for an experienced Plant Managerto set up the plant activities and processes, and once running to oversee daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring safety, quality and productivity policies and procedures are followed and to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet customers’ expectations
  • Commit to a zero-accident target and ensure plant safety procedures
  • Manage production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Ensure and guarantee an efficient technology transfer process
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
  • Collect and analyse data to find places of waste or overtime
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
  • Address employees’ issues or grievances
  • Monitor equipment and ensure they are in good working order and plan repairs if needed
  • Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts

Your profile:

Education

Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering ideally completed by a Business Administration degree would be preferred.

Experience

Proven experience of 15+ years in a plant operations leading role required.

Technical Knowledge

  • Mechanical and electrical inspection methods & strong aptitude for troubleshooting operational issues
  • Problem-solving and for root cause analysis tools (8D process, etc)
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
  • Understanding of quality process and regulations (ISO 13485, etc.)
  • Knowledge of lean management tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity and inventory processes
  • Proficient in the use MS Suite
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
